You will learn and experience big boat sailing in one of our sail training vessels either Sea breeze a 32’ Westerly Fulmar or Altea a 35’ Westerly Falcon.
If power boating is your thing then we can offer the full range of RYA Certified power boat courses including safety boat training. All our courses are conducted within the Menai Straits, an area of outstanding natural beauty providing a safe but varied tidal environment in which to learn and develop new skills and competencies.
Issued by the RYA on the authority of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency this Short Range Certificate is a must for anyone taking to the water and will give vital tuition on the use and transmission of VHF DSC and VHF Only radios.

Effective emergency treatment before professional help arrives can go a long way to reducing the effects of illness and injury and indeed save someone’s life. Especially when out at sea taking part in a first aid course might just be the most important decision you make in your life.
A good understanding of sailing theory goes hand in hand with the practical skills that go to achieving overall good seamanship skills. Learn navigation, passage planning and collision regulations plus lots more when you undertake a theory course with North Wales Power and Sail.
The ability to have a sound understanding of boat maintenance and in particular how diesel engines and their various ancillaries work, together with basic guidance on maintenance and trouble- shooting , will make the experience of setting out on a boat so much more enjoyable.
