POWERBOAT COURSES

If power boating is your thing then we can offer the full range of RYA Certified power boat courses including safety boat training. All our courses are conducted within the Menai Straits, an area of outstanding natural beauty providing a safe but varied tidal environment in which to learn and develop new skills and competencies.

Beginners

Powerboating is an exhilarating, fun and often fast activity. Learning the fundamentals is therefore key to enjoying this sport safely.

Intermediate

Develop the skills learned in your RYA PB1 &2 courses by using a wide variety of navigational techniques including pilotage and passage planning.

Advanced

Develop your skills further to gain the skills and knowledge to operate power boats in more demanding conditions.

RYA Start Powerboating Level 1

Duration: 1 Full Day

Designed to provide a practical introduction to boat handling and safety in power boats. Minimum age 8 years old but must be accompanied by a fee paying responsible adult. Student to Instructor ratio 3:1

Designed to provide the skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. Minimum age is 12 years old but must be accompanied by a fee paying responsible adult. Student to instructor ratio 3:1
